A note from our founders

Our story began when we met while working for one of the country's largest heritage homeware brands. Brought together by a love of beautiful spaces and thoughtful design, we spent many late-night (and sometimes wine-fuelled) evenings talking about creating our dream lighting brand - one centred on timeless design, quality craftsmanship, and pieces we would genuinely want in our own homes. Eventually, we stopped talking about "one day" and decided to make it happen. HayCarter was born.

HayCarter is more than just lighting. It's an independent, female-founded brand built on passion, experience, and the belief that beautiful lighting should be accessible without compromising on quality.

We believe lighting shouldn't just be functional - it sets the mood, tells a story, and makes a space feel like home.
